Farm’s Reach Cafe, Chimacum, WA, Restaurant

Local Breakfast and Lunch in a Small Town

So, we don’t typically eat breakfast. We do intermittent fasting so we eat from noon until about 8pm every day. That’s not to say I’m going to NOT get my breakfast out! On the weekends we typically pick a day to have some breakfast at a local place. This week we chose the Farm’s Reach Cafe. It’s only about 1.5 miles from our RV Park and was worth it.

When we walked in we had every intention of dinning inside. However, as many places are these days, you don’t have a server at your table. Instead, you order at the counter and then wait for you food that you can eat there or take home.

Honestly, if I’m doing all the work (ordering at the counter, busing my table, etc.) then I may as well eat at home. And that’s what we did. That’s OK because there was Formula 1 to watch!

The breakfast menu had a lot of the favorites that you’re used to seeing. Egg dishes, sandwiches, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy. Chris got the Biscuits and gravy, half order, and a side of home fries because he likes to mix them. Rachel got the egg and bacon sandwich.

The biscuits and gravy, despite being a half order, was a generous serving. One biscuit but a lot of gravy. The home fries were actually something like fried potato quarters or eighths and were really good. Exactly how we like them!

The sandwich was great with a good flavor. It was big too. Rachel only ate half of it for breakfast. Warmed up well though! Her only issue was that it was literally dripping with presumably butter. I mean, tasted good, but, makes you think twice.

The inside as cozy, even though we didn’t stay. Our food took about 20 minutes to come out and was thoughtfully packaged in cardboard containers and a paper bag.

It was a bit to chilly to eat outside but they had a deck that was almost larger than the inside.

Oh, they’re are also tones of pastries and deserts! We had a latte and a bacon-maple croissant while we waited. Both were very good.

Overall, I think we’d try this place again. There are only two breakfast places in Chimicum and if we were here longer than a week we would have tried the other.
