Nothing much to report. Food-wise. Except the burgers!
Yet another restaurant with regular prices but do-it-yourself everything else.
We ordered appetizers after a few hikes in the Olympic National Park. We ordered the Mac and Cheese Bites, Sliders, and Tachoes.
But first ordering and atmosphere. The ordering process was straight forward. You can order at a window and stay outside or come inside and order at the counter. The woman working the ordering, also delivering food, didn’t acknowledge us when we walked in even though there wasn’t anyone ahead of us. There were a few people inside but not that many.
When she got to us she seemed just upset to be there. Didn’t even really say anything. Just started pounding on her screen. Then looked up as if to say, without saying it, what do you want?
She took our order of all appetizers and then gave us our drinks and an order number.
At least you can use Apple Pay to pay.
We sat near the back where the very loud music was a bit quieter. We were there to do some work. The tables are large and the space is nice. There’s outside space on a deck in the back as well, but, the one table I saw was still dirty.
Not long after we sat down she brought the tachoes and one napkin and one fork. I’m like, can we have another fork? She brought one and we started on those. Then she brought the other two and we’re like, can we have another plate? I mean really? You couldn’t work out that we’d need that stuff?
The Mac and Cheese bites were larger than I’ve seen at other places but largely flavorless. I don’t know if the deep frying zapped all the flavor or not, but, they needed one of the sauces that was brought.
The Tachoes were OK. The tater tots seemed like something you could get from a frozen bag at the store. They were covered with pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. There was some cheese on them too. I don’t know. They just didn’t stand out. They were OK, but, not awesome.
The sliders were the best thing we ordered. Mini versions of three of their burgers. They were pretty good and well done - not the meat, the overall burger!
I’m glad we tried this place, but, I don’t think we’ll be back.
For working, AT&T 5G was working solidly. They have wifi but couldn’t find a password and didn’t bother to ask.
